PENN CARBOSE WEB SITE OFFERS
E-COMMERCE, INTERACTIVE PRODUCT SELECTOR
SOMERSET, Pa., Dec. 9, 1998 -- The new Internet Web site
for Penn Carbose (http://www.carbose.com) lets English- and
Spanish-speaking visitors find the right grade of sodium
carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) for their industrial application,
request a free sample and place an order 24 hours a day, seven
days a week.
North America's leading manufacturer of technical-grade
CMC, Penn Carbose has launched its new Web site to respond to
the needs of CMC users for easy and quick access to product and
order information, according to Jeffrey Neubauer, managing
director.
"As a small manufacturer serving global markets, we want
information about Carbose CMC products available when our
customers need it," Neubauer said. "The Internet gives us that
capability, so we have launched a Web site that can serve as a
complete resource on our products and services."
The Penn Carbose home page links to 18 sections, including
product information, downloadable Material Safety Data Sheets
(MSDS), distributors and Spanish pages, as well as getting a
free sample and E-commerce agent.
The Web site includes basic information about Carbose CMC
granular and powder products for detergents, paper and textile
processing, and mining. Technical data for eight Carbose CMC
grades also can be accessed.
The interactive product selector enables CMC users to
determine the recommended Carbose product grade for their
application. Once the product is selected, visitors can link
with the appropriate technical data sheet.
MSDS sheets for each product can be downloaded.
"Orders can be placed directly through our Web site,"
Neubauer said. "We contact customers as soon as possible for
confirmation and to make delivery arrangements."
The site for Somerset-based Penn Carbose was designed and
is maintained by WebPort, Denver.
